Languages Week Wrap

Selamat Pagi! Bonjour! Buongiorno!

The annual Year 7 Languages Soccer Tournament saw some fierce competition between the languages however it was the French students that were victorious for 2023. 

Music and dance were themes for the Year 8 students as they watched musical performances by a guest artist, dancing and learning some songs in French and Italian. For the Year 9 students, the focus was cuisine and culture as guest chefs and teachers shared expertise on making authentic pizza and how to caramelise crème brûlées – and of course, students were able to sample these delicious treats! 

The Year 10 -12 Students were given the challenge to research and prepare French and Italian dishes for shared lunches as they played quizzes and games, broadening their knowledge whilst having fun. 

There was certainly a buzz around the college and it was inspiring to see our students embrace these opportunities to connect through language and culture.
