2023 Year 11 Retreat

On Tuesday 1st August, two of our six Yr 11 Retreat groups set off on the Camino trail, following the path of Rosendo Salvado from Subiaco to New Norcia. Four other expeditions set off on Wednesday 2nd August for Fairbridge Village in Pinjarra, Serpentine Camp in Jarrahdale, Kerem Adventure Camp in Bullsbrook and Manjedal Activity Centre in Karrakup. 

The theme of the Year 11 Retreat was ‘Connection’ – to self, others and nature; and through a number of different experiences, to enhance awareness of and connection to God

The six different retreat experiences offered our students the opportunity to try their hand at a range of different activities including bush walks, adventure activities, team-building, Kung Fu, Tai Chi and dance. The bushland venues also allowed students to spend time appreciating the beauty of God’s creation. Time was also spent reflecting on the activities and examining the different connections in our lives. 

We are grateful to all staff who gave up their time to support the faith journey of our students, and to the students themselves for engaging fully in the spirit of the Retreat.
