Own Your Path

Over the past few weeks, Year 10 students have participated in Pathway lessons. These sessions helped them explore their interests, skills, and potential career paths. By gaining a deeper understanding of their options, students are better equipped to make informed decisions for Year 11 and 12.

The pinnacle of this was our recent Year 10 Own Your Path evening. This event brought together tertiary providers, industry representatives, and our dedicated staff to engage students and families about Pathways at Corpus Christi College and beyond. Our tailored pathways ensure that each student’s unique aspirations are considered. Whether it’s university, vocational education, or other pathways, we’re committed to supporting their goals.

Families were able to discuss courses offered expert tertiary representatives making sure students understood the importance of choosing senior school subjects which support their future career aspirations. Industry experts were also on hand to discuss trends, job prospects apprenticeship information, and the skills needed for success. Their firsthand insights helped students envision their future careers. 

Our Heads of Learning Areas were actively involved in addressing Year 10 subject-related queries. Parents and students gained clarity on subject choices and their impact on future pathways. Whether it’s mathematics, science, English, humanities, or the arts, we emphasised the importance of aligning subjects with individual interests and aspirations.
